Vice President Business Development
In the Areopa team I am responsible for the Business Development. Intellectual Capital is for me the adrenaline that my brains need as it is the intellectual challenge I need. As I was part of the “IC-formule-makers” back in 2004, I have a large involvement in the further ‘story’ of IC and recent developments.
After many years in banking, interim & project management I notice today I can use my experience that I build during all those years full in this challenging and growing biotope.
Executive VP Strategic Alliances
Since 1988 an executive director with core strengths in M&A, Financial Management, Change Management, Developing Organization Capabilities and global HR management. More than 20 years of experience as a CEO or managing partner of medium sized to large companies, out of which 15 years on an international level.
Since 2004 he is advising shareholders and board members of companies on Corporate matters, developing new strategies, challenging their business plans and advising them on acquisitions and the funding of their businesses. He also actively promotes the implementation of Corporate Governance principles and is a member of advisory boards of large companies, different Cooperatives and SME’s.
Specialties: execution of projects in the area of the development and implementation of models, methodologies and tools in the field of M&A, Change management implementation , Intellectual capital calculation and accounting , learning & knowledge management and risk assessment.
VP Business Development - UK
Since 1994 an executive coach with core strengths in personal/professional transformation, organisational change management, developing organisational capabilities and global knowledge sharing. More than 20 years of experience developing micro entities into sustainable businesses servicing the private, public and voluntary sectors in both national and international markets.
VP Business Development - USA
During a career spanning over 25 years, Erik has gained extensive knowledge and expertise in international business development and sales. This has been accomplished both directly and indirectly through working with partners and by developing strategic alliances.
After finishing his MBA at Erasmus University in the Netherlands Erik helped to establish Oracle in the Middle East and was part of the initial development team who launched Oracle Egypt. Erik relocated to the United States in the 1990’s to manage all sales in Africa and Central Asia from Oracle Headquarters in Silicon Valley. Erik has also worked with other large software companies, including Hewlett Packard and Hitachi, where he continued to focus on indirect selling through distributers, marketing strategies and alliances.
Erik is currently residing in Dallas, with his wife Kalee and 3 children.
MD Knowptima Solutions – South Africa
Lao has over 16 years’ experience analyzing, developing and implementing knowledge management solutions. She has a strong technical and management background having started her career as a developer and analyst and progressed to senior responsible roles. She has deep insight into what is available and valuable in organisations and has a knack for identifying valuable knowledge and transforming it into tangible assets to the benefit of individuals and organisations. It was through her experience in the KM field that she identified IC as the missing link between investments in knowledge and tangible returns for the business.
